The Wisconsin Turtle & Tortoise Society is a young society, with a core group of volunteer members dedicated to promoting education and the conservation of all Chelonian species. With an emphasis on captive species in the pet trade, as well as Wisconsin native turtles, we hope to cover all aspects regarding turtles and tortoises. We will strive to present learning opportunities through public displays at area reptile shows as well as in depth care sheets located on the site.

The Society is still just in its infancy stages but we do hope to grow quickly. We have been shown great interest within the Wisconsin keepers in participating in the growth and development of a turtle and tortoise society. All in all we hope to promote the well being of all of our shelled friends, in hopes that they live out their lives happily. We will be providing an adoption service through our members, in hopes that all turtles and tortoises find appropriate homes. We already have a great group of volunteer foster homes for any turtles or tortoises needing to find a new home.
